VIN CHECK

anyone know where the * i can fine a site to check the vin on my scooter. carfax is aparently only for cars.

lol. why do u think? i bought it with no title. i want to register it so i want to make sure its legit befor i hand out my vin.

Call the DMV in your state, tell them that you're looking at buying a vehicle and want to find out if it's stolen. They can look them up there. Police may be able to do this as well, but I've never checked. Expect the DMV to balk at this; I get mixed reactions when I do this.

BTW, MI does not hand out titles on 49cc "mopeds." You can always tell them you bought it here. Bill of sale would be good.
