Be careful with adding too much in the area of lighting, as these little stators don't put out much surplus power. Check the total output, and then subtract what the headlight, tail light, ignition, and battery take away. I wouldn't want to see you blow a stator over this....

Another option might be the newer LED headlamps/foglamps, that have shown up lately. Their power consumption/lumen is absurdly low. Their cost unfortunately is not. If you've got the bucks for your bling, your stator is safe.

Hey Wheelman,

Could you send me in the direction of finding more info on the "LED headlights?"

i currently have an LED brakelight and LED gauge cluster illumination lights, but have never seen an LED headlamp.

I am currently working my HID headlamp conversion for my Aero right now...

Well, you can buy fancy 8 and 9 LED flashlights at your neighborhood hardware store.....with a small transformer, you could drop the voltage down to 4.5V DC, and, boom, you have headlights brighter than stock, with minimal amperage drain.

you might think it is, but rags, sandpaper, polish, paint and whatnot add up. elbow grease projects always nickle and dime you to death

my 98 s has an h.i.d and it all works fine and the stater works fine.
