Be careful with adding too much in the area of lighting, as these little stators don't put out much surplus power. Check the total output, and then subtract what the headlight, tail light, ignition, and battery take away. I wouldn't want to see you blow a stator over this....

LED Headlights

Another option might be the newer LED headlamps/foglamps, that have shown up lately. Their power consumption/lumen is absurdly low. Their cost unfortunately is not. If you've got the bucks for your bling, your stator is safe.

Well, you can buy fancy 8 and 9 LED flashlights at your neighborhood hardware store.....with a small transformer, you could drop the voltage down to 4.5V DC, and, boom, you have headlights brighter than stock, with minimal amperage drain.

my 98 s has an h.i.d and it all works fine and the stater works fine.
