DERP BUILD Honda SE50P

Post by DERP »

Hello all,

Picked up a 87 honda elite SE50P off Craigslist worked the guy to 60 bucks, mad wins

Needed some work, put a new clutch, engagement spring, some paint and such, but now its time to derestrict this thing.

Looking into the AIRSAL 65CC BBK, unrestricted ramp plate and weights, and the keli variator,

what else would i need with these upgrades, do i need different jets?

I know the exhaust is going to be an issue but I plan on making one when I get back to college,

any help would be greatly appreciated. Reviews, advice,DIY threads..

Thanks in advance,
:coolcruise:

That is my thread. Well worth the long............................... read. Get a LV SP3 with that BBK and tune the vari to perfection. The gears will hold you back though.

Yes - martynkim's referenced thread has done much to documenting the fairly uncommon and great looking SE50. Good to hear you have one... man $60!!!

In the middle of a move to a new appartment so elscootar is at the girlfriends house unfortunately,

but heres some pics to enjoy, my cousin tommy smalls took it for a spin once i got it going, 5 mins later the cops were at the house, got some interesting neighbors to say the least I used to ride a goped all modded out one of the small tire ones bored stroked 13:1 compression msd box big * pipe, but that was years ago i guess they still hold some resentment, but now its all legal and insured so they can deal.

Bike looks great! Shine her up with some polish...

That CDI is worthless, unless you need a cheap replacement for a broken one...

Old ramp guides worked fine, really surprised in the mph gain with just the ramp plate,
