Spree Spruce Up

Post by thefox »

Thought I would share the before and after of my latest project. I have a friend that through the summer would say she wanted a moped. I found this Spree and gave it a quick once over. It got new tires, tubes, battery, seat cover, paint, used speedo and a good clean/degrease. After cleaning the gunky carb. that had a plugged main jet holder it runs well. I just need a headlight bulb and mirrors before I can officially call it done.

Another one back on the road!

Thanks! The color really shines in the sun.

I started to like the faded front fender look too... once I realized I had to remove the whole front end to get the fender off! haha No Petcock cover for this one, that must be the most commonly lost part. I am way over budget and since I'm not keeping it, I have to draw the line somewhere.

The seat cover is a homemade job. I usually sow my own covers but this time the friend I was building the scooter for made the cover. She did a nice job for the first time and not having a decent cover to go off of.

Hi!
Nice cleanup on the Spree. We have a 'Custom items' topic in "Wanted/For Sale". Petcock covers are made by member Fishman43, only member making plastic reproductions.
