Yes on a stock geared scooter - wow. What's your RPM??
Re: 99 elite SR Stock cylinder and gears (48mph gps verified
I forgot to look at the RPM after I shut her down but it wasnt a high revving ride that time, Id say around 9100. Thats why I know itll do more still, just have to get a warmer day.
I think the malossi yellow is key for stock cylinders, Im going to order the chameleon and the daytona ramps next time I order from webike.

Im debating on putting the 9:1 in it, I really like the take off it has with stock gears tho. I only have a handful of hours to mess with it right now. Im in town for 2 days and during the ride yesterday it started raining. When pulling into the drive she started to bog out so hopefully its from the rain, if not hopefully it was the cylinder ha.

It really felt like 49.8, but Im certain theres nothing more left in the gears. That was where it always maxes out to on the cluster, it barely feels safe on the engine at that speed and rpm. I think it will drastically deteriorate at these speeds.

Re: 99 elite SR Stock cylinder and gears (49.7mph gps verifi
Greetings:
I don't feel there's all that much difference in midrange acceleration, regardless of the gearing. When I swapped from 7.58 to 8.44s - that's a pretty big 11% jump - the acceleration from zero to 5 improved considerably. However once the clutch is fully engaged, acceleration seems no better than it was. The variator just works on different diameters, but it still - umm... Variates, according to the load and spring.
One big improvement I'm having a hard time explaining was the addition of my new Malossi-for-ZX belt from Eftie. It grabs and goes better I guess, but why?

Less flex thanks to Kevlar reinforcement, the bandos wont wear away the drive faces and variators like the kevlars will tho. Something has to give you know.
Im going to do the 9s swap either tonight or tomorrow before Im back to the mother land to see the mother.

Re: 99 elite SR Stock cylinder and gears (49.7mph gps verifi
my stock jog goes fast 56 mph.
Re: 99 elite SR Stock cylinder and gears (49.7mph gps verifi
Get some pics posted brother, stock jog power and gears@ 11,600 rpms is 52mph, the zuma is the same. I have already been down hill for .9 miles on my NextOne and my bug eye and never ever ever hit over 52. I run a lot of mods on my stock bug eye to even reach 52, Id love to see what you did to yours to make it 6mph faster than mine with the $1200 in bolt ons. Stock cylinder and gearing correct? No confusion as to what you consider stock.
I know all the parts have to be in synch with the minas unlike the hondas and maybe I dont have mine set up to the full potential. Show me the way.

Re: 99 elite SR Stock cylinder and gears (49.7mph gps verifi
My stock Jog was faster than any of my stock Hondas but I never came close to even 50mph. All I did was remove the washer between the variator and it would peg the speedo. I think 47mph is fastest it went and that was down a steep hill.
