I just checked the 2 blue light bars i hooked up today while i was doing electricals. rigged up a cigarette plug with alligator clips to hook to the battery. the 2 light bars have a lighter plug with a lighted power switch. they are pretty bright and works perfect. tucked the wires and switch in the space left where i took out the oil tank will build me a box sometime. during the day i can charge my phone or listen to the IPOD :D power anything up to 12v and even plug in my solar trickle charger if i run the battery down during the day of course :P now i gotta find a good lightening bolt pattern to cut out on the panels so the blue shines through also have 2 neon yellow tireflys. they are valve stem caps that pulse a neon glow for 15 to 30s when you hit any kind of bump :D will take pics when i find a camera that takes pictures in the dark my phone doesnt

How is the shock mount working out now that you're hitting the road with her?

It is nothing less than perfect, she rides so smooth man. * i hit a section of pavement that had been dug out to install a culvert and the gravel they filled it with had washed away, it was 1 to 2 feet wide and the length of the right lane not sure how deep at least a half foot to a foot. I thought my tires would blow but she rode over and out without much trouble :D Your shock mount and my motor mount are the only 2 things I havent had to fool with since I installed them :D Thanks again for letting me test the prototype.

That is absolutely exemplary.

I can't wait to get some decals. You are on my distro list once I get some.

It makes me happy to know that I helped out with your build, and that the mount will be with your scoot for many years to come.

Keep your eye out for side stand pics this weekend.

Finally got that 67 VW beetle exhaust gasket TrafficJamz turned me onto, I should have just ordered from that one website but knowing me I had to try and get a good deal with less wait time so i ordered a full set from autozone. got it put on there and no leak :D only thing I dont like is the felpro gasket kits are cheap as * the gasket was metal alloy covered with paper O.o the photo on the site showed solid metal ones what a rip off but hey it works but i can still complain hahha bout to take her for a ride and see how she does. also got the decal from Tjamz on my scoot, thanks again for your suggestions and the assorted jets with the storage case that was above and beyond man.

How reasonable is the shipping on the VW gaskets? Rock Auto charged me almost $12.00 shipping on 10 gaskets.

If its not one things its another hahha yesterday and today all my fuel leaked out of the tank and all over the engine side cover. the first time i thought someone stole my gas hahha because somoene did steal a bout 3 gallons of gas i had mixed all together in a large jug with unknown amount of 2 stroke oil premixed, stuff that wouldnt run in my scoot hahhahaha i hope it fouls whoever stole its plugs when they put it in their car. anyway today i noticed it had leaked out around the intake and the only way that could happen is if my petcock is back, sure enough i pulled the hose off at the vaccum nipple on the ct and gas poured out of the hose. if this has been happening for a while this could explain my RICH condition, straight gas pouring into my engine hahha either way i had a spare luckily that i had taken of the 87 aero at the salvage just in case, other than the downward pointed vacuum nipple it works good, luckily i had extra fuel line too with that fixed I am about to take her for a ride to town, her first trip that far hope all goes well :D

It's two faults - Leaking petcock and a leaking float needle.
if this has been happening for a while this could explain my RICH condition, straight gas pouring into my engine hahha either way
Fixing the float problem should be considered. Uncontrolled bowl level will mess with your carb tuning efforts.

float needle wouldn't be a problem if gas is coming out of the vacuum side of the petcock.

:D yea i thought about that the first time it leaked but didnt check it, what really did it today was the gas was on the intake and dust and grime had settle right there below the vacuum nipple. hopefully I fixed the problem :D will know in the morning. I rode her to town and all over hte place today about 40-50 miles at no faster than 45 boy does she run GOOD. around 40mph she rides so smooth and quiet, i really like the sound of this zx exhaust has anyone else every used one? one thing thought i didnt ride it to empty but I did have the fill the tank it was in the red about 3 miles before i got home luckily i carried a jerry can :D I may be a tad rich on the pilot and the main needle. I am going to put another 100 miles on it and check the plug to see where I am at. my temps stay around 130-160 at idle even after i have run her at 40mph up and down steep hills, only spikes to about 190 when i kill the engine instead of letting it idle a minute before i cut it off, even the temps on the exhaust dont go over 300. dont have a temp gauge to check temps at speed but thats not a big deal, the temps cant drop that fast if i speed up then stop and check temps right then. I am happy as a lark :D
