We the first batch of parts is now done. Word of advise, don't buy Rustoleum clear for plastic. When i used it, it dissolved the black paint. Luckily it was only one part. Its been repainted since. I have started filling in the scratches in the rear fenders. Also have some paint issues to deal with on the front fender. other than that, everything should be done and back together by the end of this weekend

Well she's finally done. Got her put back together today. i went ahead and repainted the muffler. Unfortunately she wont start and i have no clue as to why. No spark at all. It turns over just fine but no spark. Looks like I'll be dumping more money into my bottomless money pit.

That was an awesome job. It really inspired me to do some work on my gyro. Where the * did you come up with the stickers for the fenders?

I have a couple of questions:
What did you use for filler on those hard plastic fenders?
Does flexible plastic need different prep/paint?

Your macine looks excellent!!

I used Rustoleum Primer filler to fill in the plastic. Its a very thick paint. Alot of people suggest using a paint adhesion promoter to help the paint stick (its basically spray on glue). It would probably be best to use vinyl dye paint for plastic as it doesnt just cover the part on paint. It dyes it the color so even if you sand it the color doesnt come off.

Thanks for the info!! I bought some Krylon Dual Superbond paint today in the mandarin orange colour. I had used this on my snowmobile before and it seems to hold up, but I was curious on how to fill scraps and holes.
