I see the oil line into the nipple on the intake.
I don't see the vacuum line...
I'm using a manual fuel petcock, it's easy to reach on a spree. I'd have to tap in a nipple on the intake if I ever wanted to use a vacuum petcock.

Did you let the oil pump throttle operate normally or zip tie it wide open? I've read other people recommend that to ensure it's always getting oil.

I'm using the reeds that came with the ct intake, maybe someday I'll upgrade.

I left the oil pump just like it was...cable operated at the same rate as before mods. It stayed that way for 9,000 miles, and ran great all that time. I did not ever change the reed block either...CT reeds are still in it, on a different engine now, and still good.

Huh, I heard horror stories so I didn't even use em, even tho they look like nice reeds. 6 petals, 2 stage, I'm just too scared haha n I heard the kx65 reed block is "snappy".

Thanks for advice, I was actually able to get a test ride with in with the new carb and intake. Seems to run pretty good, I only went around the block but once I got on the main road I accelerated up to 50 mph. I caught up to the car in front of me so I had to let off. I'll have to get more riding time in before I decide if I need bigger or smaller jets.

I have a couple more things planned for this spree, hope to have it done before summer. :coolcruise:

One of the projects I have planned is a port job and rebuild on a spare nh125 engine I've had on the back burner a couple years. Here's the jug I'll be working on, freshly sandblasted.

Tyler VR wrote:I'm back from getting parts, most all of the guy's scooters were in garages and under tarps so I couldn't get pics of those. But he had a few out so I snapped a couple pics. I asked how many scooters he owns, he said about 160 and most I saw were Honda. He showed me some scooters I never even knew about before. I saw my first gyro and sat on it too, it was the early style. Please do not contact me about parts, he prefers to sell complete scooters.

Went back and scanned this entire thread.
Still a fine example of creative scooter modification.
Hey Tyler VR...do you still have a contact email for this guy ?

Sorry but the guy doesn't sell online. There's more pics of his collection on my ch80 spree thread:
