These wires are for the starter, but do not go to the starter, They get attached to the spree wire harness.

This wire goes to the starter motor.

Correct the green wire and red with a white strip wire are coming from the elite engine and do get cOnnected to the spree harness. I just tapped them off for now because I don't have big enough connectors

That odd ball wire is coming from the elite engine as well. So I gets connected back to the starter motor? Can I just tape that off seeing as my electric start won't work for the time being due to the zx trans mod?

No real reason to tape it. It will not do any harm if left alone.

It's just my way of checking it off the list.

Alright well trying to wire this up with a fractured vertbrae didn't work. I got halfway and then everything locked up. So 4 steroid shots in the spine later and I'll be good to go at it again tomoro!

Have a friend throw it up on a card table for you. Been there with back problems and I've found that works best. Tall enough to use a roller stool to swing around side to side but short enough you can reach the controls on the handlebars.

The v8 tyhpoon and exhaust gaskets arrived today!

So once I get the wiring finished I can fire it up. Which brings up now where to jet it. I'm guessing I should jet on the rich side so how does 43, 140 sound?

I assume this temp is alright for a scoot with this set up all warmed up without the shrouds on it

How does it sound? Anything jump out at anyone that might needed to be adjusted slightly or is it pretty good for some heat cycles?

:2thumbs: , Look at my pic for the oil reserve tank, I put spacers for the tail light so it doesnt rub. Looks good too.

I was gonna make my own custom gas tank to fit the rear rack so i hacked up my oil tank to get the sensor out so i could use that as my reserve tank gauge
Need to get those washers too.
Haha oh yes, the forks are worth every bit of effort to fit em on there :2thumbs:
I let it idle now for 10-15 minutes and the temp climbed slowly up to 330 F before i shut it off.
Isn't a little toasty just for idle? Maybe a little lean?

Still have the shrouds off it though so maybe not
