how did it run?

It ran really hot. I got an exhaust leak while rolling and I had to pull over and get a tow from a support vehicle on the ride. I need to see how bad the damage is but I think it'll be ok. It didnt die on me so Ill run a compression test to assess the condition of the cylinder kit.

man thats why I stress on checking the bolts to make sure they are tight. i check mine about 3 or 4 times after heat cycles and breakins some times more just to make sure they didnt come loose.doesnt take much for it to lean out when your turning 9k+ rpms

They were tight, the head just broke off on the bolts on the bracket. All the vibrations, I also need to replace the coil boot, it kept poppong off the spark plug. No problems around town, but the long ride was the real test :|

get 10.5 grade bolts for the exhaust. you can get the spark plug cap for around $4 or $5. most times that spring clip in the cap wears so it doesnt hold on to the threaded part of the plug.try the motocross plug cap.its the full rubber one and you can leave that fatter end on the spark plug.those caps are a bit more around $7

Thanks Brian I will be buying those.

Since it ran hot, good idea to run another compression test? I saw temps go up to around 425. When I pulled over it was still running on its own, it didnt die and idled fine.

if it didnt die then I wouldn't be to concerned. 425 is not that bad still for the aluminum bores. if it hit around 450 or more than it would have died.if your worried if it did any damage.pull the cylinder and see if there is any scratches. but again if it didnt die then no worries.what oil are you using?
