Hey Guys,

Sorry for the late response. I have been at work and no scoot time. I painted the scooter with flat rattle cans...nothing too special. As far as the whitewalls, I got those from www.scooterworks.com.

I have been riding the scoot just around the block at 25 mph or less. I am not able to get more than about quarter throttle and then the motor sputters. trying to wrap my head around it. some carb issues but dont know what. Any ideas?

Thanks!

are there any differences between the carbs from '85 to '87? I am thinking of buying one and found a couple that say fits the "'86-'87" models. It sure looks the same as mine but dont know for sure...

The 1985 fits only the 1985. The 1986 and 1987 used the same carb. The 1983 and 1984 carbs were smaller.

You could try taking the main jet out and rev it on the stand. If it still sputters try moving the clip on the main needle till you can twist to 3/4ths smoothly then reinstall the main and rev it to full to see how the response is :D IF after you take the main out it doesnt sputter then you may need a larger main or clean the main emulsion tube. Assuming you dont have any air leaks and you have the carb adjusted right
