Changed the belt, rollers and jet. Cleaned carb, had some debris in there, changed filter. Fired right up. Took it for a short run, got up to 46 indicated, got to be happy with that. As soon as I can I will be getting the CT manifold and OKO from Taz.

Going to ride it a bit more before taking another ride to work.

Just in case.

The rear turn signals are easy compared to the front ones. But in any case they are all NLA.
Would these work in the front?

Sweet I'll buy these then for front turn signals if they bolt right up! i'll figure the rest out later... I saw a used headlight on ebay untested they want 70 bucks for it!

I'm trying to follow you... hope you dont mind, kinda of ironic we bought ours on the same day, anyways did you notice a difference when you changed out the roller and belt is that easy to do? does it achive more speed going to a 15 gram instead of the stock 16 gram rollers? I guess i should pick up a belt too.

I got about 3 more MPH with the new belt. Old belt was 1-2mm narrower than new, preventing it from going higher on the pulley and making top speed less. Of course, I weigh 230lbs+, someone smaller might get more speed.

It's easy to do, but make sure you have the manual downloaded for reference. You do need a torque wrench for the pulley bolt so you don't damage the threads on the crank.

I will report back after I have ridden it some more to see how the setup is working.

Just for FYI, an Aero 125 Battery box cover fits an Aero 80 like a glove!

Now to get a battery.

Makes sense since the Aero 80 and Aero 125 use the same battery.

Long time no post. Been busy working lately, Boeing wants to throw money at me for some reason. Been working 10's during the week and Saturday every week with some Sunday's in there for good measure.
Got a whole headlight assembly, rear turn signals and front cowl from a guy in Seattle. Still need to put on the rear signals, but put the headlight assembly on. New battery and everything is working now.
Gonna try and go for a ride today to shake the cobwebs off.

Hey zup....I just checked my mirror collection....I have a "decent" mirror head for right side....also have a left -hand miror complete....the heads CAN be changed and the mirror "arm" works either side....If your arm is okay, I will send you the head...If your arm is also bad, I will send a complete mirror/arm assembly....awaiting your reply via pm..... :thumbwink:

I just bought a repo set of mirrors for about $20 including shipping off flea-bay. The came with mounting hardware too. This is the third set I have bought and I am happy with the two mounted sets.

That IS a good deal....would buy a pair if I had none, or was extremely critical about the appearance of my ride. Zup can have mine for free, jusy pay the postage.... :urban:
