Hello "Trafficjamz"
You have good eyes yes I used JB Weld .... Works great at covering $hitty welds .
I have a cheap cracker box harbor freight welder and rather than grind and grind to try to make the welds look 1/2 *
I just mix up some JB Weld and smoosh it over the crap welds .
Please tell me if you have a better way other than spending $800.00 on a real welder w/ gas . So JB weld cover -up yes .
Wait a minute did you think I was using JB weld to hold the pipe together ?
That would be crazy it would last about 2 seconds .

Re: 66SIX Spree Build / YES IT"S FASTER
Thanks lilredspreeprops on the stencil work!
But Tazz put in some new gears , and after testing the new pipe was just not cutting it .
So back to the stock pipe until I can test out Tazzez one that is being made .

Actually the pipe sounded all right but offered nothing as far as performance goes.

Re: 66SIX Spree Build / YES IT"S FASTER
pretty awesome build six.
btw, I was looking at one of the pics your posted up and I noticed a tube going from the bottom of the carb to somewhere
so six or taz or anyone else who knows, could you help me out on this one?
I haven't started up the scooter yet and I installed everything correctly except for the tubing.
I got the fuel tube right as well as the throttle.
I did see a tube going from the bottom of the carb to somewhere for the stock carb but didn't think to think about it.
Could you guys tell me where that tube is supposed to go?
Thank you as always.

It is a drain tube and goes to down below the belt cover. Must be open to the atmosphere.

Re: 66SIX Spree Build / YES IT"S FASTER
As always the Bear is right .
It's just an overflow ,the bike will work with or without it .
But if you have a hunk of hose stick it on and run it towards the rear wheel and down .

Re: 66SIX Spree Build / YES IT"S FASTER
Well Tazz was good to his word .
A new jet arrived today .
Took less than 2 min. to swap out .
And hoo boy what a difference .
It goes almost 35 mph. but a very fast 0 to 35 ,
you can definitely feel the improvements.
Tazz great job on the upgrades.
Now when will your performance pipe be here ?
I am tired of building my own that don't work .
But I just might give the last one another shot with the new jet installed ?
