not really much to announce other than i got my parts i order for my af16 winter build...gaskets i couldnt make, seals, and odd bolts and washers i needed like the 10mm that goes under the castle on the kickstart. I also ordered the bendix bushing that goes in the crankcase for my Eve that I accidentally shattered a month or 2 ago. I had the bendix out cause i thought it was causing my kickstart to bind and while i had it running the bush vibrated out, hit the drive face and shattered :P I got a good deal on a starter from the Tjamz but havent been able to use it. As soon as i got hte bushing in and everything put back on she cranked right up on the first push :D thanks for the great starter motor Trafficjamz. It is too cold to ride and I have been deathly ill for the past few days so I havent felt like even getting out of hte bed much less riding in the chill.

Just got home from what may be my last scoot this season. I absolutely HATE temps below 75 hahahha After about 8 miles she started bogging down then died on me so I pushed it up a hill and to this church parking lot. Took the carb off completely and changed the main jet down to a 95 from 100. I made sure everything was clean and adjusted my float a tad bit cause it still drips every so often from the vent hose. Started right up with no problems. I think the main thing is the rubber adapter becoming loose from all the rough roads around my house, it is even developing cracks in the surface already. I may have to make some type of bracket that can attach where the airbox bracket used to be to keep the carb from bouncing up and down so bad and chop a larger gap out on my side panel. Took her about 40 miles through the backwoods to my favorite fishing hole :D

Finally got around to fixing the seatcover. All hand stitched :P I dont have a sewing machine or an easy-bake oven lol Turned out pretty good considering you can see the stitches but a huge improvement over what it did look like minus the purple piping :D Went ahead and put one of hte HONDA decals I made on there for now till I can make a similiar-to-stock stencil. Nothing much more i can do to her except been pondering a yms v8 pipe and eventually upgrade to a polini when i get the extra cash. Wish I hadnt passed up the v8 pipe CAPT had for the lowski.

Finally got my polini contesta thanks to evilone :D Now I am pondering what pipe to get and what clutch springs. I am sure with the extra power the torque spring is going to need replaced to ensure the belt doesnt slip just not sure what spring to use. I have a chameleon factory 1500rpm with some yellow grabbers but not sure if those are going to be right...sometimes I like to creep along. I guess it depends on what exhaust I get too. Will be using the ruima vari which is super light compared to stock and even the prodigy i have it weights around 14g more so not sure what weights to use as of yet. I know next to nothing as far as tuning the trans other than fine tuning with different sized weights to keep the vari in the power band but even there my knowledge is lacking. I am leaning heavily toward the v8 typhoon but am apprehensive about it being sectional as opposed to the jpipe of the yms R1 28mm. Open to suggestions even if theoretical :D

Couldnt take it an longer, still havent got a better pipe, but I decided to go ahead and install the contesta today. The wrist pin was hard as * to get in there in retrospect I probably should have stuck it in the freezer for a bit :P Need to test compression but it is supposed to be severe thunderstorms rolling in any time. One thing I am wondering about...is the rubber boot on the sparkplug necessary and will not plugging the hole in the shrouds around the sparkplug make any difference as far as airflow ? Also are you supposed to use the stock roller bearing in the connecting rod?

--just finished changing the springs in the clutch, 1.5k chamleon contra with 1.5k grabbers and installed the ruima vari with 9g weights. Will most likely change weights but that is for starters till I can get out in the yard and get her running and the carb jetted

Well it has been a while on this one, I dont think I will ever truely be done with it :P after several attempts at adjusting the idle I have sorta put it on the burner so to speak. Decided to tinker with it today and put on the v8 typhoon :D While I was at it I put the coil and CDI from the other build while I was at it. Without any jetting change 48 pilot 107 main it started right up and on a short drive to the end of the road she sounded good and temps were better than with the stock pipe so I am about to take her for a circle of a few miles and see how the main and midrange is. This pipe is peppy for sure with more of a sharp metallic sound than the thicker stock pipe. Still rich on the pilot for sure I was able to turn it to 3 turns without much difference but all the way in the RPMs dropped may be able to drop the pilot back to a 45 :D Oh and here is a 11lb catfish I caught last night on an openface reel :D
