50cc Speeds
Greetings:
It's not a scooter, but the stock 50cc Honda MB5 went well over 50 MPH.
In the scooter world, the Metroplitan is speed limited to 42, but certainly has the power to go a bit faster.
Yamaha's newest Liquid-cooled 4-stroke has a 3-valve head and should be faster still once the electronic party-poopers are defeated.

Elite 50
Greetings:
If gears and a variator aren't cheating, a healthy SR will nudge 50 downwind.

Re: Flying 50cc
Greetings:
Must've had some serious RPM (or speedometer-connected) limitations with the stock module? Consider the possibility that the engineers had a reason for so shackling their engine before you make a habit of WOT cruising.
I'd also advise caution in changing both the rollers and the spring, unless you're following a proven "recipe" amongst the GY-6 Cognisenti. These are two complementary variables; A stronger spring makes it rev higher and lighter rollers also raise RPM. It can leave a feller right flummoxed if the simultaneous swap kills performance. If you're breaking new ground, consider just swapping one or the other and see if you like it better. The rollers are less work.
Doing the stronger spring first make sense if you do a lot of hill climbing, but consider leaving the stock-weight rollers alone until you determine results.
