as far as anything obtainable here in the states goes the horizontal Jog is quiet high on my wish list.
i like the look and the motor if rife with tuning parts availability.

so heres a question- answer as objective as you can.

take a stock Jog such as this one.add a pipe and jetting to suit-
take a stock af16 motored Honda(US spec) add the same to it-
question-
which will respond to the tuning better with what result?
i'd wager that the Jog is lighter out of the box and is faster out of the box(stock) compared to theSA50 for example.

as much as i love my honda bikes, the real truth is a 70cc jog will beat a 72cc dio.
the minarelli motor design is a way more efficient motor than a af/16. The down fall of it is you must use good parts, not taiwan stuff. If you do you really need to know the matching and porting. I have built 2 jog style motors here for my guys, one expensive parts, other taiwan parts. The difference is about like 5mph on the top end. 10.6 vs 11.6 in the 1/8 mile. As for a dio its alot easier and cheaper to go fast at the start, but to get tru speed, thats takes alot of tuning and porting as well. The set up i have right now in my dio is a 72cc polini, so far with my gears @ 8.5 it wont go faster than 73. I think the jog set up with good quality parts can reach 80....only time wil tell hehehe!

Like I tell people all the time
Speed cost money ..if you have to ask how much then most times your not going to do it ! Haha ...easy couple grand ..a nice honda 72 set u!p is easy a grand in just parts .then you need the labor and time to port and tune. Out of the box works fine ,but to get the real power its in the tuning and porting . Jog set ups are really diffrent thinking.you really need to know What parts work at what rpms..mismatch then yourgoing backwards

Im working on a 92 Jog right now, I have a race ported Tai, 70cc kit. Leo Vince zx exhaust, and everything else I believe is stock. (clutch spring looks preformance though)
Do you have any recommended parts? Price vs Speed/Power?
Can you lists your setups or link me to build pics/topics?
Thanks :D

Do the front and rear pieces of the headset get changed in this conversion?

If so, Do you still have the stock rear(purple) piece hanging around somewhere? Mine is trashed.
