Cleaning cleaning cleaning

WoW That was dirty! I am sorry I did not take before pics, but trust me ,it is ALOT cleaner now.
The the stock piston broke and sprinkled metal bits in my berings. So I needed to take the whole engine apart.
Good for cleaning it up all the way too.

Where Is the best place to get case berings?

Can someone tell me where to get one of those oil plugs to eliminate the oil pump. I am converting to premix oil/gas.

I tried to place the jug on the case, and it did not fit. There is a extra little bit on the jug casting that rubs against the intake maniflod/reed block.
So I got out the grinder and took a little bit off. Now it fits fine.

Are you going to port the boost port in case? More performance and it gets the fuel/oil mixture up to piston to cool piston crown. The oil pump plug is from VTCycles for something like $10.

http://www.monmouthcycles.com/ cheapest factory parts online. shipping will cost 15 bucks thoe. better of getting a big order. like bearings, seals, gaskets etc... to make the shipping worth it.

What did you clean that engine with? It looks t!ts.

Get rid of the stock intake as well, that will not help you at all. go with a performance intake manifold, and smooth out the sharp edges in the manifold for smoother fuel/air flow. If your going to be porting out the engine. Don't forget to port out the stock fuel/air inlet where the reed/intake manifold sit on the block.

Boost port is there to allow gas/fuel to reach back side of piston. That's where spark plug is located so the fuel mixture is "booming" there more than other areas of piston is one reason to port the boost port (more heat at the backside of piston). When the piston rotates down, the fuel mixture compresses. That compression sends mixture to top of piston for igniting. The hole in piston skirt allows the compressed fuel mixture to be forced up boost port to top of piston. AND, the boost port is directly accross from exhaust port so the exiting exhaust gases are also helping "pull" the mixture up boost port. Do i make enough sense to understand? piston goes down-mixture gets compressed, mixture goes up ports including boost port-exhaust gases leaving cylinder help the mixture to the top via boost port.

Hmm that's what I want for x-mas a sand blasting box for small scooter parts. a solvent tank is not needed, i can just use some simple green and a 12 gall tub or something.
