My 1984 NQ50 Spee build complete

Post by BIGGUYLITTLESCOOTER »

Thanks to the members of the forum for all their advice and help along the way. In the past week I've done some runs close to home for the shake down. Everything works great and the little guy pulls my big * along at 25 +\- mph. Today me and my friend did a big run and and the NQ ran great with no problems. We even got caught in a big down pour and it never skipped a beat. I'll shut up now and just post some pictures.

Thanks

Ya the tint knocks the shine or reflection down a bit but in my mind they look sharp. Not for the safety minded.

How did you get it to run with the Pod filter?

Pod filter is gone and factory filter and air box are back in place. #68 jet and it idles and runs super. It runs even better then I thought it would.

I did a base line run with my '85 Spree today. Totally stock, with a new battery (new one every other year, no matter what I do) to start it, I got a speedo reading of 30 mph, which is the best ever at sea level and a GPS 27.9 mph.

Where'd you get the bar ends? Any trouble with the Po-po with those dark lights?

Rest of the scoot looks great, too!

I wondered about that too. They would be verboten here as dark tinted windows are.

Bar ends are for a bike from wal-mart (just for looks, they don't work). Po-po don't seem to care about scooters here. They are more concerned with the kids under age getting killed in the city on scooters. Last summer 3 boys blew a stop sign in the city and got hit by a truck killing all 3.
