Greetings:

You have good taste. :)

10,500 gives me about 70 with 7.97s, on those rare occasions when I'm feelin' Frisky. Jamz's excellent chart may not consider slip losses, which tend to increase as speeds and Aero drag go up.

My chart assumes a 90/90 tire and that the drive/drive pulley ratio is at 0.8:1 (maximum overdive)
At higher speeds,(especially over 50mph) this ratio probably changes slightly because of heat and belt stretch.

The chart was made for ballparking what gears to choose. And to call out people that make ridiculous claims like 90mph on 8.4:1 gears .

What RPM's were you turning to get 62? I have another spreadsheet that calculates gear ratio and variator ratio, if you know your speed and RPM's

Greetings:

Sheesh, that's one Lusty Corsa! 11K, really?! I don't think Flash has much more than 10,500 in it, but you know how much setup and even individual examples of the same pipe can vary...

Still, my scooter should be going 75 at its max RPM and is going 69.9 to be precise. that's maybe a 7 percent slip factor. The belt gets hot and slips a bit, and the tire isn't geared into the road. That figure is probably typical of a belt-drive CVT at that speed.

Red Spree on the other hand is missing a whopping 19.9 percent of its theoretical speed, unless you're running a Spree tire or something. The slip factor should be a lot less, not more at lower speeds. Maybe wipe that KY jelly off the belt and pulley faces or upgrade to the 90/90 tire?

Hey now leave my ky out of this! It has a new bando 654 belt, a chinese zx rear pulley, a polini for ruckus variator with 33g's of weight and a 90/90 rear tire. I havent really tried to tune it a whole lot its been cold and ive been super busy... Im open to suggestions

Switch it back to a S trans and see if your top speed will go back up.

My variator calculator shows you are getting 1.06 drive/driven ratio

you could use a different boss and shim it for a better ratio.

28mm OKO will get you to touch 70mph imo, or go slightly lighter on the total vari weight, corsa likes revs
