Found some stuff for fixing bumpers figured if it works on bumpers ,it will probably work on headlights and plastic .

Hello sanjuro
Thanks good question ,I actually went out and just took some pics of cleaning stuff I use / No I am not a cleaning salesman .
Where did you buy the Mother's back to black product?
I get a lot of cleaning supplys at of all places ...Wal-Mart its a lot cheaper than auto supply stores I guess because walmart sell in such quanity
Look in the Auto dept. around the car waxes Its in a red plastic bottle its not cheap ? maybe $6 or 7 bucks ,but saved me so much time it was worth it and a bottle will last a long time ,Again its called Mothers Back to Black in Vegas its usually on the bottom shelf and you really have to look for it .
Here is some other stuff I use for cleaning :
PlastX is good for lenses or signal lights very $$$$$

SuperTECH ENGINE DEGREASER (I think its a wall mart brand ) spray it on gets all foamy wait wash off w/ water Cheap $

Rustoleum rust remover good for getting rust off $$

WD40 the best for getting rusty bolts loose / spray on if the bolt is still tight....spray again ... then again the next day and again I sparayed a bolt for 3 days befor it got loose .$$

M.E.K. very strong stuff for removing paint be very careful melts plastic ...$$$$

Never Dull ... great for shinning chrome or any metals you just pull off a small wad start rubbing the chrome wait untill it drys a bit clean with a cloth very bright I still have a can from 9 years ago lasts a long time forgot what it costs but still works well .

GREASED LIGHTING this stuff is great for grease and is non toxic you can spray it on your hands and no problem .DO NOT GET THE GREEN BOTTLE its ecco friendly that means it dosen't work get the one in the photo . Its not as strong as the engine de greaser but its not very expensive just try it works great on a lot of stuff you can even use it in the laundry to get grease off your paints (spray the stain )

Windex ... The best for all around cleaning not expensive ...

Back to rusty bolts aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah more WD40 I would spray in the morn. then again in the aft. then again at night for 3 days ,it was like the bolts were welded on ... Finally I heard that click sound OK got 1 off 5 more to go ....on the last one it felt like the bolt was stripping so I tried a wrench but was in a tight spot (rear wheels ) back to the socket again spinning no grip check out the pics to see what happened ....

More plastic work ... the fender looked like a dog took a bunch of bites out of it / its hard to see in the pic but it was a mess I had 2 sets of fenders so I thought I would give a shot at fixing one .Took off the decals then I tried sanding took the finish off /No big deal / but still a bunch of deep bite marks ... Then I took a wood burning tool and using the hot round stick part I tried melting the bites .... actually worked pretty good then used the bumper repair to fix some cracks ... let it dry overnight then back to sanding got better and better then wet sanding ... then the bulldog adhisive so the paint would stick ... then paint yes a rattle can I just cant see spending 20 bucks to paint 1 fender with a spray gun .

I guess its a 80's thing groovey man. I could not stand the gold wheels ... I was going to paint them black but thought it would be too much .

On to the muffler .... I was going to try to keep everything stock ... But had some screen laying around and thought ??? Why not ?
OH 1 thing in the last pic it looks like aluminum foil on the side of the muffler . Its actually some hi-tec from Austraila that disapates heat and you can easily mold it to fit the problem is befor the muffler would get hot and start to melt the fenders .I will see if this stuff really works ?

You're a glutton for punishment getting all of those stuck bolts out, and repairing the rear fender.

...and thanks for the overview of cleaning supplies. :D
