Hey Hey... that motor looks good with the covers off.

I'll take it you received the engine hanger and exhaust?

Did you fix the piston rings?

Cool. Yeah the slide and cap were completely toasted, cut and the needle was bent. So into the trash it went.

Looking forward to see the outcome.

I bought my nh125 piston/ring set from a guy in the UK. Shipping was 3.96 Euro (~$5.50 USD) and it arrived at my door in Iowa in 4 or 5 days. The larger items can take months but I've always received the small stuff in under 3 weeks. The hardest part is convincing the seller to ship to the USA.

I've never gotten anything from the UK, even Air Mail or DHL in less than 2 weeks. Europe takes as much as 6 to 8 weeks. Mainly because Customs hold things at least 5 days.

My bad, I meant to say $3.96 GBP, not Euro. I just looked, it took 5 days (shipped the 21st, received the 26th). When I say small items, I mean small, like a box 9CI. I had a set of brake pads come in an envelope in 2 weeks 1 day. The date their post office gives you is the usually on the money, just ask for an estimate.

Royal Mail A is how mine came. I assume the A stands for air.

They say it shouldn't be long:

I'll bet it takes longer to get through the USPS system than anything else.

well sorry i havent updated for a while, i got my rings and carb parts thanks bear :2thumbs: got the motor back together and in the scoot, compression is pretty solid but when i try to start her up she only runs for about 5 seconds at barely idle speed and only starts with the throttle wide open
P.S. camera isn't charged so ill try to snap some pics later, oh ya and i have/had no air filter on for the test and my exhaust is leaking at the flange since i dont have the gasket

Greetings:

No air filter and an exhaust flange leak? Lean and Leaner. Double check for a faulty reed block or leak there if fixing the exhaust and adding a filter don't solve the issue.

WOT starts indicate a very rich condition. Your stopping running at idle is probably cause you a flooding carb.

do you think having the choke hoses mixed up would cause this issue, ill try and adjust the a/f screw and i made a copper gasket for the exhaust so ill see how that works, its just weird to me that it sounds like its about about start everytime but runs outa steam

That is the exact issue I had with my Aero 80 with the bad bystarter system except mine ran for as long as 10 seconds but not always.

wow really wish i could post pics but my camera is missing its charger, i got the engine to sit perfectly for the carb to work and took it for a ride, lol wow it really hauls * its like a turbo diesel aero 50 now but really wont do much more than 39-40mph it feels like im getting the dreaded lean topend because it will bury the needle at 3/4 throttle downhill but will slow down at wot.
