The scooter Gods have blessed me with the elusive one-two-five/two-smoke......yeah, the mileage shows to be accurate....speedometer seemed to be a little slow....soon to say bye-bye to the Elite 80....after complaining on another thread about never getting a chance to buy an Aero, I'm presented with this....no-brainer... :urban:

Is the air filter in place and sealed as these 125's have the same issue as the 50 cc scooters. Also check the main jet, should be a 105. You might want to put a 108 in it with all that warm weather you have back there.

.......while avoiding 1/2 dozen possums, 2 raccoons, numerous kittys, and a dog,....with a near miss on a small bat.....I was able to cover 36 miles in the last hour.....at 1/3 to 1/2 throttle it was very happy doing 40 mph....after 40 it starting small hiccups and went to full starve at WOT....if you eased it up to 45, then anything fuller open would start backing up the revs until you closed throttle to the sweet spot and resumed a smooth, STRONG 40.Side covers come off tomorrow....I have on hand a Michelin Bopper tire in 130/90.... stock tire is closer to 100/90, so it's probably gonna rub sumpthin'.... .......this chassis feels quite tight compared to the lighter 80....much better shocks...getting confident with the foot brake is gonna take some time....Nice compartment in the footwell, but the iconic milk crate is sure to come....sometimes a trunk box just wont do the required job...try putting a guitar in one.

UHHHHHHH i was trying my hardest not to offer my elite 80 as trade for the aeros around me. You sir are making it very hard. That is a sweet ride. Does it have a kick start ? That is my biggest problem with my elite. Could you possibly take a size comparison picture of the aero and your elite? theres a very pedophile man by work who has an aero 80 in white i am thinking about buying off him .

......@ DeathByFox.....There are no complaints with the Elite 80 that I've ridden 4k this year.....SIZE compared to the Aero 125 is very similar, one of my pix shows it pretty close....mostly, the 125 is slightly wider in the rear and has a much firmer ride and handling...NO kick-start....Your Elite must need some work if starting is difficult...

.....@ bradthreee.....have been meaning to buy some "back to black" and see the magic....this scoot is SOOOOOOOO unmolested...even the badges(stickers) and tri-color pin-striping have survived without a knick.....very gentle down on the left that broke the reflector on the leg shield, scratch left front signal lens, and very little else. Windscreen is a little yellow from age and shakes like a groom at the altar....wish I could tolerate it but not likely....I'll need the factory shorty screen if this one comes off.....

@ mouse3wheels........ :hi:

Meguiars has a really good plastic polish that works pretty well on slightly yellow plastics.

If its worse in person than in the pictures, I'd opt for one of those headlight restoration kits. I think they are $20 or less...

I replaced my foot brake with a left hand brake. Used the left hand switch assembly (it just plugs in) and brake lever off an Aero 80 and found an after market cable that works just fine. The foot brake just felt awkward to me.

That WOT thing sounds just like what the Aero 80 does with the stock jet. In the 80 an 90 main in place of the stock 88 cures that. None of my 125 does that, however.

.....My expectation is to find that the main jet is somewhat reduced by varnish and will clean up and return to normal.....What is the result if I move the main jet needle up a notch??......I have already inspected the handlebars for room to hang a brake-lever perch, but routing the cable gave me visions of wrestling an octopus.....thanx for saying that you have done this....at least I know it is possible.
