Hey man, what kind of MPG are you getting on your little hopped-up Aero? I've read that the 2 strokes are significantly lower than the 4 strokes.

You know, I can only say that mileage is somewhere around 50-60 mpg.
Even with the stock set-up was probably the same.
Maybe even not as good as the Mikuni.
I think the Mikuni breathes much better and is more efficient than the stocker.
It certainly gives some quicker response.
I never "ease on the throttle" unless the pavement is wet.
It's WOT 90% of the time.... :thumbwink:

After taking a group around the Ridgetop community today, my guesstimated mpg figure on Ruby
would seem a little high.
Probably getting 50 with some real open-throttle riding for most of 90 miles.
She needed 1.7 gallons to fill.
I'm going to repeat the route in the near future and do an efficiency run for the best mileage for comparison... :hi:

PseudoMoto ride today north to Cumberland City where the group of 8 bikes crossed the river aboard ferry just below Lake Barkley. All afternoon the sky was sunny and fair temps around 70. By the time we got as far out of town as we were going, the clouds rolled in bringing lightning, hail and rain. 2 riders split off earlier, 2 more when rain got close by, so 4 remaining played it cool and managed to avoid the entire storm with samiches and bevvys.

And to the point: Ruby has suffered either bearing or gear damage in the trans....
She started a few weeks ago with mysterious little rattles.
Maybe 50 miles into today's ride, she started some whimpers here and there.
The farther she went, the sounds became increasingly more painful sounding.
This included growling, chattering, hammering, and as the rpm changed, so did the tone.
The final 50 miles had her screaming @ 50 mph like a banshee.
Parked in garage now, and unconscious from the 200 mile ordeal she blistered through today.
The inspection on this one will be fun.
This is her first engine-ectomy and coming at 6,722.0 on the clock.
I will check compression before I pull it to be sure, but it is running great.
November sounds like a good time for this to happen...whew... :geekdance:

 ...sorry, the fall colors have diminished here and pix may have been pretty drab. Besides, my phone is old and incapable of loading pix into the computer. I did not take my camera, didn't think about it. Maybe I can borrow some from a friend.

Your first impression is correct GSX1400. I rode my Aero 125, Ruby, on today's ride of 198 miles.
The 750 Honda belongs to the member who I borrowed the photo from.
I can see why you would be confused, but my referrence to "Ruby" in the post is the key to clarity.
This entire thread chronicles the adventures and trials of my only true love, Ruby, the flamin' Aero.... :urban:

Anyways nice ride on a scoot! I don't think I'd do the same on my Aero 50!

The Gyro #53 also qualifies as "true love"...I stand corrected....

There are several other true loves and they all rest quietly in the garage.
