haha, yeah. i though about a darker shade of red. but mainly looking at cost to visual appeal. The only decent red i can get is about $22 to paint the main body panels, where as the black was half that. and thats before primer and clear.

today is one of those day i both love and hate having a roommate.

Pros: he signed for my package that fedex dropped off.

Cons; he is sending texts and picture of the package, rubbing in the fact im at work and know d*** well whats in it.

new exhaust when i get home :ndance:

also id like to add after scraping off some of the paint the po had sprayed on the plastics still seem to shine, so i may go stock on the color for now depending on the over condition.

No. The previous owner sprayed it at their house with rattle can paint. And scrape off with a finger nail. They didn't do any prep work when they painted it. So imm get a plasitc safe stripper to clean it up. And sugguestion on stripper?

alright here is the verdict on the exhaust.

I installed the leo Vinci sp3and hit a * 66mph. as we all should know theres no way i read that off the speedo. so the handy my tracks app did all the verification. ill have picture up when its light out tomorrow.

to anyone that may know should i use the rollers that came with the exhaust ot the ones that came with the new vari?

my elite went 24mph when i bought it, now it can reach speeds above 41mph, im not sure how fast it will top out at because i was on a freshly graveled road and at 40mph the scooter became unsteady and i decided to let off the throttle seeing i had to hold the phone/gps in my left hand i could only hold it steady with my throttle hand.

my modifications cost me a total of $66 i have yet to install the ramp plate that i got form another member here on this site, the gentleman gave it to me for just the cost of shipping but im a bit nervous ill screw up the running condition of my moped if i open the guts of the bike. so the main mod that gave me the speed is the exhaust i changed, i bought a 89 elite exhaust from ebay and it was an incredible difference, as i was taking off the moped was throwing small amounts of gravel and spinning the back tire in spurts. changing the exhaust did cause the moped to smoke a ton, i was told that i need to upjet the carb but i have no idea how or where to start with that so i put the stock exhaust back on and decided to wait until my father has time to help me do the mods properly so i dont risk ruining my baby girl. putting the stock exhaust back on caused the smoking problem to stop.

keep in mind that gps are not accurate all the time. they will jump the max speed limit at times. what gears are you using?

Exaggerating your topspeed is not going to get you any respect if that's what your trying to do. We are not dummies on here or new to 2 stroke tuning so don't try to pull the my se50 motor can 70mph deal
