A good spot is where the 2 sections come together farther back from where the original mount is. I say about 2in before that 2 seams come together. Measure the distance from there to the mount on the motor. That will give you the length you need

Everything is bolted together im gonna do the wiring and all the small stuff tommorow. Will this be safe to use until i get a prodigy shock? I will only be heat cycling the motor and then doing runs aroud the neighborhood. I need to get my hands on a krs manifold so i can run the carb side panel

A good spot for your shock mount is right where your cdi plug is.

Gotcha. Will this be okay to do light riding or will it break the shock?

You wont break the shock unless you weigh 800 lbs
The shock might rub the tire a bit.

Fixed te clearence issues but im going back to scratch on the shock and mount. Do you think the two holes i drilled for the bolt will weaken the frame? Thats the only reason im sketched on making the new mount location

I dont want to use the stock spree shock and my welding options are kind limited. Im currently working on this thing on my lanai of my condo. Im not supposed to have any of my tools or my moped but i dont have anyother place to work on it. I was planning on putting the mount bolt thru the frame and bolt everything together. After doing heat cycles i was gonna drive it to my buddies house and weld the bolt in there

No grade 10 bolts available here. I could only find grade 8 metric in 120mm length. I bought a m10 140mm bolt from honda not sure on the grade. I got everything wired up real easy now i just need to do the brake and throttle and shock mount

New prodigy shock came yesterday. I redid the shock mount. The back tire rubs the rear fender just a tad but im gonna add a few washers to the fender mounting bolts. 90% there i just need to finish small stuff
