Hi all,

Well time for the new project. I bought this nifty fifty off breezy who had done most of the had work to convert the scooter to ZX Dio front end and AF18E engine.

http://www.hondaspree.net/phpBB3/viewto ... 16&t=21756

Current status is disassembled. I need to tidy up some welds and weld in the mounts for the tie rod between the frame and neck.

The general plan is metallic silver, orange dio alloy wheels, 120kmh speedo (done), auxiliary tank (more on that later) and most importantly 125cc Stroker AF18.

The 125cc will consist of the ebay kit, 28mm OKO carb, V8 exhaust and 8 to 1 gears.

All this has to be done and reliably tuned by no later than the end of July. I want to put 1000km (600miles) on it before riding it around the South Island of New Zealand for a total ride of 2200km in 5 days. Oh yeah did I mention that will still be winter here at that time!

Anyway here are some pics to get us started. Some are mine some are breezy's.

Well slow progress.

The engine should be done at shop soon then I can it port etc. The frame has been stripped and rust proofed. Had a mate weld the brackets on for me and I have chopped up the fairings to suit. Still a little more fine tuning to go on them and they will be good to go.

Mean while I have parts are arriving from all over the world.

I want to do a stretch job on this little beast. I was thinking 4". has anybody stretched a spree with af18? Has anybody stretched a spree?

In the below picture you can see the fairings on and the tie rod dummy mounted. The aux gas tank is going to be an octagon. That is a test piece just to get an idea of how big and long I can make it. I will bend up 2 halves and have them welded together with a tube up the middle that the tie rod goes through etc. It should be very functional, look great and be different to your standard round tank.

That's all for now folks.

Where did that front fender come from?

Some fresh pics. Frame and wheels painted. Other forks installed. Slowly getting there. Did I mention I got Dio alloys! They look great.

The fender was made by the previous owner by chopping and glassing the old one. Thanks to Paulpauly7's father we now have a nice mould to reproduce them....

If "front guard" is referring to a copy of that front fender I'd be REAL keen! As long as the price is right;)
