Had no choice but to do the mod, There was about 2mm of clutch pad left on the spree Clutch when i pulled the bell off. Replacement stuff is costly so on when the dio clutch and bell. Cut the case with a quick cut and smoothed it out with a *. The clutch bell has to come off to take the beltcover off but w/e it looks sweet.

Already have the wider/longer belt and 2.75x10 tires installed and am looking to get the pulley mod done. MLM Pipe in the mail too!

Greetings:

Looks great, but remember the Dio clutch is designed to spin in the counter-clockwise direction. Most Drum-Like devices have an orientation so that the shoes "dig in" once they engage. Running backwards, they lack that feature and you may find some slippage is inevitable. It's still worth a try, and perhaps the humbly-horsepowered Spree won't challenge the bigger Dio clutch so much that it's an issue.

Definitely slipping when trying to make torque, Cant climb a hill from a stop. Gonna keep it like it is till the MLM pipe shows up, see if that makes a enough of a difference. I had no spree clutch to throw back on at the time and thought i'd try it since i had a spare dio clutch around. Glad i didn't just chop the cover in half!

Greetings:

I haven't seen a stock clutch in over 5 years, but is it just possible you could reverse the shoes' position? That way it would bite like it should.
