Like always checked craigslist and saw an ad with no ph # and only email reply .
The ad was up for 21 hours thats a long time for a Spree ad at a low price .
Well the seller called back right after I sent the email got his address and was on my way ....
Saw the Spree and it looked rough but I knew I had all the parts at my place never throw any Spree parts away ever .
I have had so many Sprees do I really need another one ?
He was asking $75 but I said can I make you an offer ? How about $40 bucks I was almost hoping he would say no
but he said yes .
And so the story begins ....

I have learned the hard way first thing is get the bike running ,never put a lot of time into a project then find out the motor is shot .
OK put some gas in messed with wiring no key (of course ) used a screwdriver to turn ignition switch on ..
sprayed in some starting fluid hooked up a battery ....
Tried stater click click kick start nope .... nope ...... nope .....
sputter ... nope ....kick again sputter sput sput /Thats a good sign
don't give up ....
Hock up battery started up rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr kick rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAh
Ok good sign it runs ....
Next cut the bailing wire & zip ties holding the plastics on ........
The frame is painted tweeker blue in spots the front fender and side panels look like bed liner paint ...no problem ....
I gave it a quick spray wash as it was so dirty .....

OK engine off ... Now another question do I strip it down to the frame ?
Never try to take off the front fender the forks have to be removed and it's a real pain in the asset .
