I imagine tape is fine when straight...but believe I would lay down a chalk-line first... :urban:

Bought a spare set of piston rings off ebay, these are no longer available new from honda. I hope this nh125 doesn't actually need them, but I might freshen up the engine someday.

Got the mount tack welded in place at a few points, will have to take it off to fully weld. Going to add a couple pieces of steel and make a bump stop from the mount to the frame.

My bump stop setup, found a rubber wheel for a dolly and shaved it down to fit inside the frame. Thinking about adding another dampener mount off to the side like a stock a nh125.

When welding the rubber dampeners inside the mount got burnt up, so I'll be replacing those.

Had to let the garage air out after welding on it, smelled pretty bad.

About to weld on this plate to the frame, then the shock mount on top the plate.

The aero now stands on it's own with the 125. Still need to finish up a few things, replace the mount bushings, a little grinding and painting.

I need to do the same thing for my center stand. Is it possible to post up some shots of the other side and maybe under? I want to see the bracket idea you went with and where you mounted to on the frame. Hows the tire clearance when in the "up" position?

The center stand I setup is pretty much just a kickstand now, it can lean a little bit to each side but the tire doesn't come off the ground. It's just a couple inches of angle steel welded to the corner of the frame with a hole drilled into each side for the pin. I didn't want it to hang too low under the frame, I thought about extending the legs of the stand itself. Also had to make a spring hanger mount, which is just a bolt I welded to the frame.
