Hello Honda scooter forum, not sure how many people still use forums, but I don’t have Facebook and I wanted somewhere to post my stuff.

I recently collected two different sprees in non running but mostly complete condition. One is an ‘86 that was taken apart by the previous owner, and the other an ‘87 that’s been sitting outside for some time.

I’m excited to get to work on them. I know little to nothing about small engines, but I have a factory manual and I think I can figure it out.

Greetings:

And Welcome, Nick. You may find these little Smokers endearing, frustrating, educational, character-building or all of the preceding. I for one look forward to seeing your progress. Be patient, and the Forum can help in countless ways.

Updates!

Got all the parts more organized and the garage cleaned up a bit. One frame completely stripped down, rust coated and painted, and got a bunch of parts in the mail from eBay, treatland and scooter swap shop.

Welcome Nick13F... :hi:
I can see you've already started down the path of modification.
The Spree is limited by it's single speed transmission, so any increases you see will be limited by that factor.
You can install gear sets to gain top speed, but will lose low-end in doing so.
I highly recommend reading through the extensive thread about making Spree faster.

Thank you Motormike, I have done my research and decided I should of bought a different scooter, but I love the look of these little things over everything and I have committed myself to getting them both working for my girlfriend and I.
