70 would be crazy. lol. I'm hoping for 45-55. But I'm a heavier guy. Also gonna have to play with different variator roller weights to get the right amount of acceleration. I think we used the 8 gram ones that came with the kit.

I left hours ago, but my buddy is still stripping the parts of the harness we don't need. He did manage to use the starter solenoid from the Big Chief donor instead of the Spree relay:

Almost done now. Road it up and down the street for over an hour today. Buddy managed to get it to 51 mph. Not bad, considering we're still working on carb tuning. Put the 90 jet in the 20mm carb that came with the kit. Zip tied up whats left of the harness. Trimmed about 1/2 and inch off the upper lip of the tunnel of the knee shield to fit under the handlebars since the'yre lower than stock. Cut some notches in the side plastics to clear the shock and the engine travel for bumps. Just gotta put on the front fender and brake light and wire it in, but here she is:

Still wanting to do the 5 liter mini keg gas tank, right behind the seat. And gotta trim the front wheel fender to fit in the fork.

If ya have any questions, fire away.

Wiring Harness cleaned up and taped up. The little metal things on the frame will hold the wire loom like original:

Tail light mounted. You can see a couple holes trimmed in the knee shield so that the fork wouldn't rub. Tail light will probably be moved again once the keg is purchased. And the bottom lip of the side plastics were trimmed to clear stuff:

Tried an air filter, but it reduced flow soooo much that the scooter flooded out. Gotta go find one that flows air better. Or just use some mesh off a screen door =p Couldn't ride today though. d*** rain =\

Been a while since a post. Purchased a 6"x10" spun aluminum gas tank (1 gallon) and "150cc header" off of eBay. Also purchased a Polini roller set (4.5gram through 6gram set I believe) and 1500rpm Naraku torque spring. Supposed to be here within a week. Also thinking of removing the stock seat/tank and bolting some aftermarket one to the frame to lower the seat height and center of gravity. Will post pics soon.

NEW PICS TIME!!!! :D

Gas tank came in!
Image

Naraku 1500rpm torque spring and Polini roller kit (the scooter feels much better and spends WAY more time in the powerband after these things):
Image

Little high flow air filter and close up of gas tank mount. Also not seen is the little glass fuel filter and cut off valve from Oreily's. Sorry it's blurry, low light:
Image

Tail light flipped upside down and remounted (pic @ funny angle):

Topped off @ gas station. I was a hair under half tank and it held another 0.7 gallons, so I'm guess over all, it's just over a gallon in that aluminum gas tank. Also added the wheel fender from the Big Chief donor scooter. IDK how I feel about that yet:

My fav. photo so far:

Next, we'll be tackling the headlight. Probably switch to LED. Maybe some blinkers. And something I'm really looking forward to, I'm gonna manga-bomb the knee shield (like sticker bombing, but using the pages from an anime novel). This is what I'll be cutting the manga pages from ;p
Image

All in, I think I've spent under $500 for the total project.

I still have a 1.25inch exhaust pipe from ebay coming. It's meant for a 150cc gy6 swapped ruckus, but we'll make it work:

Weighed the whole setup today. With about 1/3 tank of gas, it weighs 145lbs.
Exhaust is on now. It's OBNOXIOUSLY loud @ WOT. Idle sounds good. And it looks good.

My buddy sitting on the scooter. He's over 6ft tall and weighs as much as me:

Close up of exhaust. Also trying to clean up the wiring:

Pic from behind:

Next comes the manga-bombing.

NEW SEAT! And battery relocation! o.o

Old and Busted:

New Hotness:
Image

Battery was moved below the seat, infront of the engine. Didn't need to add more cable or anything. Just rerouted:
Image

Also sprayed the frame and bracket that holds the frame black. If you can't tell, it's from a drum set. The seat ended up sitting about 3 inches lower than factory. Handles different now. I like it. lol:

I thought the short seat would look off but it looks right at home.

Heh. You have a glove box on that Spree...
