Ok have so driven her about 2 miles. Temp gauge highest temp is 270F. 1/4 throttle to 50mph put me at 8400 rpms. I am thinking the pilot is way to big. Very boggy down low. Removed the plastic rain guard from the air filter def running better. Feels very power @ 1/4 throttle. Gonna try to get some more miles on it to see how it runs when broken in. so Far my jetting is 45 pilot/ 125 main. Needle clip in the middle

Rode around all day and the temps never went over 301F. 125main and 45 pilot seem too much. Most of the riding was @ 1/4 throttle so i am leaning toward the pilot being too big.

Are you running a V8? What pipe? Seems low jetting on the main, pilot is usually 42 or 45. But only hitting 301 is low, hows the weather there?

Yeah running the V8. Now I have a new problem. It seems like it is running out of fuel. bogging till the carb bowl fills up then takes off again. Only does this when I get past 35mph. Gonna try and rerun the fuel lines. Seems like it is cutting out bad. Went WOT hit 50 temps 277 max.

After further testing.

When I hit 9600 rpms seems like a rev limiter or something. the rpms drop to 8400 then it picks up and bogs again.

I think I might have a coil or cdi issue. Anyone have any suggestions

Greetings:

Perchance did you mount an inline paper filter? Those sometimes fail to keep up with flow demand, the bowl drains, refills, repeats. Leaky vac lines cause similar behavior. Electronics typically work or fail, RPM independent.

I used gasket maker on the intake with the paper gaskets it is sealed.... I used new vacuum and fuel lines. Does seem like it is starving of fuel but the temps dont spike. Rode it today hit 277...

Greetings:

The "Cone O' Stone" filters I've tried seem to flow enough to keep up. The paper ones not so much. They're really made for Lawn Boys that rev 3500.

Id make sure the filter at the petcock is clean and well. Only time I put a filter on mine is when I remove the screen for increased flow. And Cone O Stone is the best and cheapest route next to doing an inline auxiliary surge canister. I noticed the kymco zx50 petcocks can not hang with the demand of my 25mm Malossi Delorto PHBG and Im planning on using a larger fuel filter for a car as a surge tank and going full remote on/off with no vacuum petcock like WM has done.

Thanks everyone. So I pulled the fuel filter off and rain straight line to test. Changed the pilot to 40. Main 105.....

Went down the road holy crap its fast.
Temps hits 310F @ 9800rpm....

I rode around about 1/2 throttle so the jetting seems good.
I am running a Taiwan air filter with a blue rain guard. Trying to get around 60mpg. I don't think it is possible but we will see...

The temps are good I am gonna test it out.. I though it sounded wierd but the filter doesnt let it free flow too much
