I get this massage: Sorry, the board attachment quota has been reached.
We of course want to see pics and more info

Yes - the site quota for attachments has been reached. I've been monitoring the build up to the limit. First time I know of we hit a limit.

Site owner noiseguy can adjust the dials (as there may be costs for increased storage), or request mods to find & remove old/obsolete files.

Thank you mousewheels.
The metro brakes work better then the spree brakes. but I'm going to change them to the left side. like Honda intended them to be.
I don't see a difference in stopping power compared to my 94 elite. If their is I will post it.

Hi forum.
It's official 63.6 MPH on the stock pipe, & carb. gas saving spreedio.
the motor did get a little hot, temp at 425 max. I will have to fix that.
the old belt was slipping, I cleaned it with some brake clean for now.
I will be putting in a new belt and doing another test soon.
All the specs stayed the same just a clean belt, and added some cooling holes.

Greetings:

The belt drive cover was designed for safety and a Sanitary look. Also to keep kids' fingers from being severed. While the cover works OK with a 4-horse powertrain pushing it a little above 35, I do believe the cover is best left off for speeds you're now reaching. That's very impressive, by the way. Betting you're really glad you have that Met brake panel now!

Thanks wheelman.
What a difference a clean belt and 7&6 Grammies make. (I had 8&9grams before)
I will soon put a new belt, and bring down the carb C clip.
We have yet to see a really sunny day. I will have to keep the cover on because of rain. (will make the belt slip).
the met hub works great. I will never go back to stock spree brakes. ( They just don't stop at that speed.)

I like the way the scoot looks, its rough but means business. Nice job with the tuning also!

Thankyou LMH.
I do have a new seat cover, I will be putting on soon. I also have the side covers but like ruckus look. did you notice the tail light? it's a lot higher.
The weather is not helping with the tuning, but i'll get.

Greetings:

I've taken Flash to the carwash a few times. Yes, a wet belt will slip, but the hot transmission steams away the water - and even a dose of soap - pretty quick. Unless it's raining hard, I'm betting that a fully-warm engine won't have an issue. If it's raining THAT hard, I tend to stay home...

Hi WM. You are right it's best to leave the cover off for max cooling.
My other concern is having the scooter fall over and damaging the clutch bell.
The met brakes are doing the job.
I think the max speed on the spree forks is 65mph. and They are too small for the pot holes.
I will have to swap over to the bigger metro fork. as I will try to reach speeds of 70+mph. :thumbwink:

Hi deuce. The lightweight 100 pounds scooter makes a difference.
I need a small carb because of the small gas tank on the spree.
I can only go about 20 miles on a 2.5L gas tank @ WOT.
I lowered the C clip on the carb.
Added a scoop for more cooling. ( got this tip from wheelman).
I'm going to put a bigger tire to try and reach speeds of 70+mph. :nervous:

Mileage,

I will have to see far mine goes on one tank of of these days. Not very far I am afraid, it has something to do with almost always being at WOT. I new belt does wonders for grip, rollers are a crazy thing. Too heavy or too light, either one is about worthless. When they are tuned to your weight and ride, its amazing.
