The Ministroker!

We the time has come I've been collecting and selling over the last few months to build up a couple AF16 blocks I have. I'm gonna be starting with my Ruima mini stroker build. It will be Af16 case, 48mm ruima bore (I think lol), 44mm ruima ministroker crank, 24mm carb with ct mani, and a modified pg pipe. I bought this motor at the end of last summer with a bad stock crank in it I've completely dismantled it and am now finally parts ready to put it back together. I don't know much about the pipe I bought it with the motor from a member who built it. I'm not sure if it was a long or short to begin, he said he used a exhaust program to make it into a chamber style pipe. Said it ran good with it we'll see I guess I haven't tested. I've done the intake porting already and need to check the boost port as well before I assemble. But I have a few questions. For the ministroker do I just need the extra 3mm base gasket to get started? I know there will be some fine tuning to come with port timing but I'm still learning there. And can I use a paper gasket on the af16 cases like my Af05 or does it have to be a liquid gasket? Really just looking for some advise to get her ready to assemble. Also gears I'm leaning towards 8.4s or 7.58s what do you guys think? I'll be getting pics together as well just don't have them yet. Thanks ahead of time for any and all help!!!!

Thanks for the help guys! I actually have the tusk crank puller as well I just bought it knowing id have a couple cranks to install soon. I still plan on using the hot cold method to install the bearings then the puller to install the crank. Haven't used the puller yet, is it difficult at all or just line up and go? Any help there would be great. Idk if I want to spend the money to have someone else do it yet I'm gonna try my self first. And thanks Keith ill keep that in mind! And Downsouthdio I haven't started the build yet looking for some input on how to put it together first. But I do have a tester so once I get it to that point I'll be able to check.

Alright here's some pic of what I have so far. The top end suposed to be a ruima 75cc kit but idk no markings on it so I'll go with it. I have some digital calipers on the way as of today so I can measure. A little dirty but looks to be in good condition just needs a hone.

And my 24mm carb set up. What are the best kind of reeds you can get that fit the ct reed block? Without cutting your own and without buying the vforce block.

Get boyesen power reeds for a kaw kx65 or Suzuki rm65. That pipe is going to be ungodly loud.

Yes graphite it is the crank I got from you. And I believe you LMH idk if ill keep it but if it works out I don't really care about being a little extra loud!

And where do you buy the boyesen reeds from? Are they a 4 pedal? The ones I'm finding look like 2 large pedal reed but they could be wrong pics.

The reeds in the ct are 2 petal, there's just 2 reeds with 2 petals each. The kx65 reeds can probably be found on eBay

Also the pipe is what most would call a drag pipe. Probably mostly top end power and no guts down low. Who knows but it'll sound real cool

That pipe is just a PG long with the second cone turned around. I would just add a silencer and try it. should work good for your engine size.

Ok cool I found the reeds I'll get this ordered. And is it ok to remove the reed stoppers from the ct reed block? I've seen a couple posts here about motors eating them and I don't want to mess with that.

And red now that you say that I remember the guy I bought it from saying the same thing he cut it turned it and added the stinger said it was really long and he kept cutting it down till the performance was good. Like I said if it sucks I'll just replace it but for free I gotta at least try it out :)
