I'm building my '94 Honda elite s with the SA 50 motor. I want to use a 50mm bore kit i found on eBay. (http://m.ebay.com/itm/371320415883?nav=SEARCH)
What do you guys think would be the best carb and pipe I could get that won't compleatly drain my pockets.

I love my polini carb and highly recommend them. You get what you pay for spend a little more for quality parts.

Greetings:

Some people have good luck with Taiwanese 50mm kits. Some don't. Improve the odds with careful inspection of every inch of the cylinder. Carefully chamfer the ports to avoid having sharp edges that reportedly shave all the oil off the piston. That huge Boost Port should in theory match the size of the block's port, but remember if you cut it out that big you've doomed the block to using cylinders with similarly-sized ports. That may eliminate the excellent Polini Corsa cylinder from eligibility, which would be a shame. If you have a bore gauge and the skills to measure, see how well the piston matches the cylinder. Often these are "bin-selected" and randomly too big or too small for each other. Like I said, you could luck out, but buying Italian takes a lot of the Luck out of it. For the price difference, it's worth it to me.

Greetings:

The old scooter saying Graphie almost ( :) ) coughed up is:

Fast, Reliable, or Cheap: Pick any two. But in this case, with affordable Contesta or M'Arn kits, you can get fast and reliable FOR Cheap. My Flash 5 was a Taiwanese 50mm kit that I fussed over before bolting on, and it ran OK. Still runs, as far as I know. My experience with two other Tai 51s and a ministroker 90cc wasn't so good...

If this happens you have to split the cases, replace the bearings and start again. Now sometimes that's not so bad as it wasn't my Daily Driver and I enjoyed working on it, mostly, but you can burn out. Now it sounds like you've already bought the eBay kit, and I don't want to slag on you too much. But if you're willing to listen to advice from Those That Have Gone Before, you might consider re-selling it to the unsuspecting and switching tracks now.
