I have been searching for a crankcase gasket for my 87 se50 elite S and been told out of production several times. So, anyone know the thickness of this gasket and I will just make one?

Found these on UK ebay, though may be for an earlier model - Honda seemed to make dozens of scooter variations using 'almost the same' engines.

I usually use cmsnl.com to cross reference part numbers

That's the problem I have been having is finding exact replacement. I have had to return three gaskets already that did not fit the AF05e engine in my scooter. I bought the scooter with engine in pieces and the crankcase gasket was trashed. I can make a gasket if I know the thickness, I have gasket material laying around from dirtbike rebuilds.

Yeah, I see your problem.
Just had a look at the gaskets listed here : http://www.cmsnl.com/honda-se50-50-s-us ... partslist/

There's 3 different ones listed and 2 of them have been superseded but not by the same part.

Difference seems to be the GN and GY codes.

I will check the site and see if I can locate photos of gaskets for comparison to the case. I have been ordering blind by going off of part numbers. No luck...and several sites have told me that the gasket I seek is no longer in production. I have a hard time believing that since my research shows that the AF05e engine seemed to be popular back then. They even used it after the se50 elite S built in 1987. Thank You for your help on this build and I will be back... :peace:
