Greetings:

I seem to recall it wasn't all that high. 125 PSI maybe? Reed valves and carb bore (and failing to hold the throttle wide open) can affect apparent compression. Maybe muffler installed (or not) can too. If you go digging, my first Corsa was used but not worn, installed around 2010. I believe I posted a pic of the gauge showing compression value.

Greetings:

So, 125PSI divided by Standard Atmospheric Pressure, which is 14.7 results in 125/14.7 = 8.5:1. My measurements were obtained in Deepinaharta, which is very close to sea level. Temperature and altitude affect the gauge reading. If there are restrictions along the intake tract they will also affect the gauge reading. Remove the carb altogether if you want to be sure. If you use oil to measure the volume of the combustion chamber and you know the cylinder volume (3.1416 x 2.45 x 2.45 x 4.1) you can get a theoretical value for CR that way, but the Practical method is to read the gauge.

Thanks to R1 i got all my goods on the low low. Decided to carry on the build he had done. I inspected the Contessa kit and after abusing it no damage was done to the the kit. Great quality i was surprised.

Further Porting the Corsa
And porting the case.
