Spree engine test bench wiring

Hello all!
I'm not new but have been gone for awhile and couldn't find my login info so registered again.
Here's what I'm doing - I'm setting up a test bench for one of my spree engines and I only want to wire up the CDI without the charging system and any wiring harness, to just get the engine running again.
I have wired how the service manual shows, Rd/ BLK to stator
Green to ground
BLK/ylw to coil
Blu wire to pulse coil
Firing the starter with a remote battery and switch.
I'm getting about 75 ac volts to the spark coil but no spark I'm at my wit's end trying to figure this out. Do l have something connected wrong?
