is there anything else that you can do other than taking the washer out, or switching pipes?

well i would think that once you get all the washer out(believe thats the only restriction) you should get almost 30. other then that,change gears,maybe bigger tire,bbk,and if you find a pipe that works for the spree and is not loud please do tell!!!

well it seems there is a restriction in the muffler its self. {or the previous pipe had some serious carbon phlegm} I switched a pipe in from an 87 spree and am now hitting 30.

Do you need to upjet?

I did up jet when i put the big bore kit on. Im at an 85 and my plugs come out chocolate

what is the " washer " that you are talking about ?

on the iowa spree if you remove the exhaust and look at the cyl side of the pipe you will see a washer that is welded in to restrict flow thus making the scooter slow. remove it by grinding or swap pipes and walaa 30 mph.
