Purchased another one - 2001 Elite with a bunch of parts

Post by Snowman94 »

Most of the plastics are trashed but I think I am just going to use this as a parts bike. It does have the AF16E engine, a big bore kit (guy said it was 86cc) and an OKO carb. Everything else is pretty busted up but I do have a 1995 SA50 I have been working on also. Is one chassis better then the other 2001 vs 1995?

It did come with an extra stock crank so i am hoping it has a stroker crank. It also has these pretty cool wheels, the one on the back has been painted yellow but this Silver one looks good. I am assuming that this is the front rim? Ohyea, it also has a PG Speedo jammed in the dash... literally!

This came from Maryland in a trade for a Tomos moped originally. The guy I bought it from today said the ppl he traded it from were pretty serious about these scoots so if you are on this board.. the scooter is a 2001, pretty much all black, with yellow wheels. Stock front and this type of rear. I gave the guy 200 for it, wish it had a left side skirt!!!

I will post more pictures and will have some parts available. The seat is in ok condition.

This purchase i just hope to break even.. EVERYTHING is broken on it. Like they went out of their way to smash it all... Kind of reminds me when I was 15, twenty years ago.. I think if i blueprint the carb, i may use it but here it is....Maybe the cylinder is good, i dont know - just been busy with other stuff not to pull it yet.

it looks like you could get the motor running, all the necessary parts are there... from what i can see..
the carb looks fine, just a little dirty, i'd recommend a good cleaning!

I think I am just going to take it apart and throw away the pieces that are broken. If anyone needs a frame, let me know.

Here are some more pictures of the carnage. Really, everything has damage in one way or another it seems but there is some good news. There seems to be a big bore of some sort on it but the bad news is that the middle of the piston has a dent in the middle, probably just running it with too long of a spark plug. There is a picture of it next to a malossi 70cc i found in the part bin, no rings but it appears to be in ok shape. I think the best news is that it has a full ZX tranny in it already too. At least i am pretty sure they are all ZX parts... I also took a picture of the crank as best as I could, it appears to not be stock but I cant tell for sure if it is a mini stroker or full stroker. One picture of the bunch of parts is pretty much all I am keeping or selling, the plastics fills up a decent sized trash can. I do have a decent seat and pretty nice met. box. It was fun overall :)
