Engine/piston work

Post by dbouchard01 »

Can anyone tell me where to find detailed directions on taking apart the engine? I replaced the cylinder gasket but I am still not getting higher than 30 PSI for compression so I think a ring went evern though the cylinder is not marred or scratched.

Does it run? If it does, let it run for maybe 15 min. Piston rings expand as they warm up. So if you hook a compression tester to your motor you are going to get a low reading. Just from experience....

If it runs with a compression of 30 PSI it will be the first engine in history to do so. :eyeroll:
