Hello all,
Picked up a "non-running" 1988 Elite LX (SA50) on CL for 100 bucks. It has seen better days and the New Mexico sun had beat down on it for a few years.
But... with this forum and alot of searching I've gotten it running again. You would not believe how much sand/rust and paint flakes were inside this gas tank.
Anyway, with a new battery, tank cleaning and carb cleaning everything is on track. In my overzealous use of the compressor I believe I have "broken" the petcock.
Right now fuel comes out of both outlets on the petcock. Is that normal? I know one is vacuum and goes to the manifold and the other is fuel that goes to the carb.
Is the vacuum side on the bottom of the petcock and fuel is on the top?
I'm guessing I "popped" something inside the petcock. Your advice is appreciated in advance.
Thanks.

Correct. The diaphram is broken if it is leaking fuel out the bottom.PolarIce wrote:...Is the vacuum side on the bottom of the petcock and fuel is on the top?...
