Well the main jet change did not cause this issue. You either screwed something up or some dirt got into the idle circuit. You need to pull the carb again and go through it. Oh and why did you change the jet in the first place?

Without other changes he is full of crap. I'm talking a different exhaust, air filter or port job. You took a runing scooter and broke it for BS because the PO does not know what he is taking about.

Every aero I have ever got I replace the jet with an 85. Runs slightly rich but improves top speed.

Stock they run an 80. a resticted 87 Elite runs an 82. A unrestricted 87 Elite runs an 85 therefore, except for differences in the airbox the 85 is just fine on an aero.

Why would you jump up two jet sizes? One step would be more logical.

If it works don't fix it. This information was passed to me and thought why not try.

My point is did anyone try an 82 (one step up)? Very rarely does it take 2 steps up, unless the engine falls on its face with the original jet at WOT.

i took off the stock air box assembly and added a uni open air filter ,it seems to me the 85 jet made a decent jump in performance especially on the top end ,i have a new variator and belt drive from daywot on ebay on the way took the old variator off today and roller weights had some flat spots on them. now to take the body panels to work for a new paint job on em
