ok i will try to find a stock airbox but i know this scooter used to run i rode it when it was my friends but he always rode it without the airfilter on it could this have caused my current problems?

Yes, do a compression check.

Yes, but compression is the first thing you should check when something goes wrong with any engine. Doing the compression also lets you check the spark plug.

it has four. also i can't seem to find a place to purchase a air filter like the whole thing do any of the k&n filters etc. work?

Ive got it to start by soaking the carb in carb cleaner i still need an airfilter but it wont stay running once it does start but it actually starts easily so idk what it could be i was hoping one of yall with more experience could advise me what to do now.

thanks for the help got to ride my scooter for the first time today after i soaked the carb and got a new spark plug but i still have to get a new battery and airfilter but im happy to finally ride it.

edit: ive been riding my scooter for a while got a new battery too but earlier tonight i started it to take a ride around my neiborhood and i took off it ran fine at first then it started to cut out then i lost all power and it died and i had to push it home and havent been able to get it started since im at a loss here please help thanks.

Sounds like running without the air filter (that would be lean which can cause melted pistons and top end overhauls) finally screwed something up. Do a compression test.

ok i got a compression tester and when i cranked the scooter over the needle on the gauge never even moved?? and i did hold the throttle at wot too so i guess im gettin a different scooter i want a zuma anyway and dont say i can just rebuild this on i know i dont want to

idk about selling it but i live in kentucky. also i have no idea what it would be worth anyways
