This morning I started up my 98 elite sa50p and is seemed to be idling very low. When i would stop at a stop light I would have to keep giving it gas or it would stall out. When I got home and put it on the stand however, it started to accelerate very quickly. So basically when the wheel is on the ground it idles very low but once I put it on the stand it starts to accelerate rapidly. What is causing this?
Thanks

Re: Idle issues
well sounds like you might have a vac. leak......
Re: Idle issues
Ok so how would I go about fixing/diagnosing this?
Thanks
Thanks
Re: Idle issues
It sounds like it could also be the clutch engaging all the time just a little. Check the trans. There might be a weight that might be stuck or the rear pulley is not closing all the way.
Nothing like getting stroked!

Re: Idle issues
Vacuum leaks make them idle fast, not slow.fastplastic wrote:well sounds like you might have a vac. leak......
