possibility of putting manual choke on 87 elite s?

Post by killerpancake »

Put new rings on this bike, along with new headgasket and new base gasket. Was starting up perfectly, but it's beginning to give the same problems as before, being that it won't start after it had been sitting, the autochoke(bystarter) has been replaced many times with new ones, i need to know the possibility of finding a manual choke for the 87 elite.
If it don't fit, force it. If it breaks, it needed to be replaced anyway.

thanks for the link, that looks just like what im looking for... that may be kind of a pain to flip into the choke position being under the panel, But hey it's worth a shot. Thanks.

make a bracket of the carb (somehow) and use an old choke cable, the one that is wire inside not cable. could route it to the headset.
