definitely not your petcock. I would pull your spark plug and see if its wet or not. Things your could look for.
clogged exhaust, over oiled filter
jets clogged in the carb
air leaks
Not sure if those would all do it, but there some things to check

What do you mean is it supposed to pour out? If gas is pouring out nonstop from the fuel line when you pull it off the carb and it still attached to the petcock then it is in fact faulty

Re: af16 not running right help plz
Mystic got it wrong again. When you pull the fuel line off the carb, there had better be some fuel pouring out of the fuel line or the petcock is most definitely bad. However the fuel pour should be short lived if the petcock is working properly.
This problem is most definitely a fuel shortage problem. If the fuel supply from the petcock is solid when vacuum is applied to the petcock, then the petcock is not the issue (even if the fuel does flow when it should not). However the float level being to low could well be the problem. Since the engine idles OK, it is not a too high a float level, better known as a flooding carb.

i cleaned the airfilter and tried again and no luck however it runs fine when i completely remove the airbox it runs fine
Re: af16 not running right help plz
Then you do have an over rich condition if it runs without the air box. That means the float level IS too high and if this is the case it can NOT idle fine.

Greetings:
Sticky float needle. Some Cleaues, Inspecteur:
Swapped block into new frame, ergo old gas tank.
Ran out of gas.
Refilling may have liberated long-dormant flakes of iron oxide.
Let me guess, no inline Cone O' Stone filtrage?
So yes, a Float issue, but not maladjustment. Granular spooge jamming the needle. Replace the needle or upgrade the carb.

Re: af16 not running right help plz
thats what i was thinking about running the fuel tank dry. Whatever crap was rolling around in there probably made its way into the carb. First thing i do with these scooters is put an inline filter in. I still suggest checking the spark plug to see if its wet or dry
Re: af16 not running right help plz
Wheelman what exactly is the needle and can it be cleaned out or does it require replacement

Re: af16 not running right help plz
Greetings:
The float needle is the fuel level regulator that's attached to the float
When the carb bowl level is optimal, the rubber cone on the needle blocks further fuel entry if it's working.
If not, fuel overfills the bowl and the engine sucks liquid fuel. It's better when the airbox is removed and there's less negative pressure in the intake tract but it still won't be "right".
The little float needle is a very precise fit in its tiny bore. It can look fine but not work properly if its triple ridges are scored by rust.
You can try cleaning again, but I had a carb that refused to work until I got a new float valve needle.
It's more per pound than gold, but worth it. Add a stone inline filter to avoid making the trip again.
