Spree fuel shuts off at around 35

Ok heres the deal my 86 spree runs great but when im going down hill and it hits 35 it feels like it stops getting fuel and wont go any faster and then when it drops down to like 27 it will start topick up again...... Ive read about these restrited sprees do i have one and how do i find out if i do i just need my spree to go a little faster so i dont get run over but all the d bags in big cars and trucks thanks for anyone help guys

Not a fuel problem. You have just reached the maximum RPM the motor is capable of and it can not flow any more air, so it can go no faster.

So is there anything i can do to make its top end go more what about those final drive upgrade..... How do you guys get yours to reach higher speeds

most of us do a motor swap to a variator motor but you can do some thing to a stock motor and get 40 or so but that is up to you and the speed you want to get..

To go fast requires more power, so..................Get a BBK (Big Bore Kit) from Taz (Tazland001)here on the forum. He also has a carb kit and better gears for the Spree. He will have an exhaust soon. BUT and it is a big but, going fast is not cheap. Of course there is always the motor swap route but it is up to you (most do not do a motor swap). FYI, speed down hill is not the top speed. Top speed is how fast you go on flat ground.

I have got a bbk and the right jet and i have an exhaust on flat ground it will do 30 and 35 down hill it runs good i just want to hit like 35 on flat ground maybe 40 and top that on the down hill what about the final drive gear upgrade

The BBK will not make you faster, only quicker. If you want faster the gear upgrade is a must.

You could do a pully mod or run a wider belt at the expense of take off
