i know it has a box for the filter, but i guess i mean like ram air or forced air, like a tube from the front that takes the air your running into and uses it to force air into the carb. not sure about anything i say and i do appreciate your help any and all.

What model of honda elite do you have? What kind of performance upgrades have you done so far?
I'm asking because it's easier to help if you give more details.

I'd suggest to do the usual upgrades pertaining to your model (usually derestriction, and the use of upgraded and/or aftermarket parts including a larger size bore kit, etc) then have it tuned well before looking into other performance modifications like forced air induction or ram air.

I read in a couple of other forums that people have seen an increase of 3-5 mph using cold air intake. In my opinion, that really isn't much of a performance gain. =( You'll have to decide if an increase of this magnitude is worth the efforts that you will expend. here is the link for one of them: http://www.provoscooter.com/forum/showt ... hp?t=13887

my scooter is a 1987 honda elite se50p restricted model

it tops out at 23 mph using my phone gps application.

the speedometer cable must be broke or worse cause it dont work and the odometer reads 900 but shes been rode hard, very hard.

i have done no mods, and far as i can tell the owner has done none judging by the top end. but he does have a scrap variator in a box of extras i got with the scooter.

let me know if i missed anything, oh i paid 350 it dosnt smoke a bit so i hope it will last

If it actually works will cause a lean condition, there by requiring a jet change. Beside a 50 MPH ram air is next to worthless, no 150 MPH is a different game.
