I'm looking to replace the roller weights in my 96' elite s variator- I'm not sure what size weights to get-or where to get them, I'm a 250 poound guy and would like a little better pickup and over all top speed! I would appreciate any advice! Thanks!!

Lighter weights and remove the restrictions.

Re: Variator
Do you know what the original rollers weigh? Just wondering so I know what's lighter, and what weight and brand do you recommend? I have already done away with the restrictor plate on the variator, and drilled out the exhaust pipe at the mounting bracket, and you know I have the sr air box. I also have a Honda metropolitan rear wheel and tire on the way- have I removed all the restrictions your speaking of? Or are there more? Any other tips, or tricks, or parts I should add to my list?eliteguy50 wrote:Lighter weights and remove the restrictions.

Re: Variator
Did you upjet the carb?? the restricted model used a #68 the unrestricted used #78.
Also should add extra oil to fuel, about 1oz in tank if you are still using the pump.

Thank you I will be ordering a new jet! What's the fuel mix after upjet if I do away with the oil pump and just mix in the tank?dun rite wrote:Did you upjet the carb?? the restricted model used a #68 the unrestricted used #78.
